Richard Lee Shaughnessy was born December, 1947 and passed away on July 15, 2016 due to complications of abdominal cancer. He was preceded in death by an older sister, survived by two brothers.

Richard had a real love of the guitar and a wonderful sense of humor.

He graduated from East High (1966) and Westminster College (1972). He worked for the college for several years in admissions. He then traveled east to Syracuse University, where he continued working in admissions. He returned to Salt Lake City in around 1985 and started an antique and furniture repair business. He had a real passion for this and continued working there until poor health wouldn't allow it. His knowledge and craftmanship will be missed. - Contributed by Larry Hunter
