The person who REALLY ran the school: Loving wife, mother and grandmother Lois Houghton Dansie passed away April 2, 1988. Born October 10, 1928 in Castlegate, Utah to Charles A. and Laverne Harrison Houghton. Married Westley M. Dansie February 28, 1948. Graduated 1948 Carbon High School, Price. Moved to Salt Lake and attended LDS Business College.

Member Sugarhouse BPW and Salt Lake Council of Women's Clubs. She worked for PIE, St Marks Hospital, Richards Candy, East High School, Safeco and United Health Care. Later in semi-retirement she went into business for herself. She enjoyed life and most of all loved her family very much. She would do anything to help her family and friends and will be greatly missed by all of them.

Survived by husband Westley, son, Stephen C. daughters Lois J. Weeder, Janet L. Hatch, all Salt Lake City. Step-children Barbara L. Millard, Sandy. Paul R. Salt Lake City. Westley W. San Bardino, Calif. Father Charles A. and step-mother Mary Houghton. 17 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.
