William Speakman ** (Business, Type Teacher)

William Bruce Speakman, age 79, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, returned to his Heavenly Father on Sunday, December 23, 2007, after a long and progressive affliction with Parkinson's Disease and ensuing complications.  He was a loving, kind, and faithful man and will be greatly missed by the many people he has influenced throughout his life.

Bruce was born June 15, 1928 in Ely, NV.  He was raised in McGill, Nevada, and Salt Lake City, Utah.  He served honorably in the U.S. Navy,

I'll never forget Mr. Speakman's favorite comment..."I'll bet you two bits to a hole in a doughnut.....!" That has stuck in my mind forever...funny guy! RIP

Who would have guessed that Mr. Speakman would be a major part of what we are all doing right now . . . typing at our computer! 

"The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog" . . . how many times did we type that?????  It was in Speakman's class I first met my dear friend Cindy Atack (White) . . . a valued friendship that lasts to this day!  Thanks, Mr. Speakman.
