Darrell Palmer ** (Accounting Teacher)

Our beloved husband, father and grandfather, E. Darrell Palmer passed away peacefully at his daughter's home on February 1, 1990.

Born March 17, 1903 in North Logan, Utah to Ezra James and Sarah Buttcane Palmer. Married Leah Susannah Hinckley on August 10, 1936 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. His dedication to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and its principles led him to serve a full-time mission in California, three stake missions and numerous other callings. Graduating from Utah State University and further studies at the University of California at Berkeley, prepared him for his career of teaching. Thirty-four of those years were spent in the Business Dept. at East High School, Salt Lake. His love of music was expressed through playing the violin and saxophone and in sharing his fine tenor voice in groups and choirs. He loved life and was deeply devoted to his family. His sense of humor and exemplary life stand as a beacon to his children and grandchildren.Survived by his wife; one son and two daughters, Richard D.H. Palmer of Denver, Colorado; Mrs. Paul A. (Jean) Hanks of Salt Lake City; and Mrs. Ralph S. (Ruth) Driggs of Bountiful; 15 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter that preceded him in death; a brother, Revier Palmer and a sister, Elva Herring both of California.
