MARTHA ANN YEATES

1947-2010 "Dura Martha"

Martha Yeates passed away on June 16, 2010 after a life long battle with kidney disease. Martha was born on November 14, 1947 in Salt Lake City to her parents, Ephriam and Genevieve Yeates. Martha graduated from East High School in 1966. After graduation, she worked for the State Tax Commission from 1966 to 1981. She then served an LDS mission to the California Fresno Mission from 1981 to 1983. On her return, she worked for Fox, Edwards, Gardiner and Brown Law Firm from 1983-1985. She then worked at FHP from 1986 to 1997. She finished her career at Molina Healthcare in October 2009. She loved her job at Molina, so it was difficult for her to retire last fall.

Martha was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where she served in many callings. She had a talent for crocheting and music. Martha also had a way with children, they brought her a great deal of joy and she helped raise many through the years. Martha was a true friend. She loved and kept the friends she made dear to her heart. Martha had a great sense of humor that helped her, and all those around her, deal with the trials and health problems in her life.

Martha is preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Margene Fowler. She is survived by her brothers and sisters, Richard (Janet) Yeates, Farrell (Diane) Yeates, Linda (Jack) Elder, Susan Ostler, Robert (Connie) Yeates and by her dear friends Laura and Kara Webb.

Interment at Centerville City Cemetery.
