Diann Rogers (Harker **)

Diann Rogers (Harker **)

Diann Harker
1947 ~ 2013

A tender and gentle soul left this mortal world on May 7th 2013 to be reunited with loved ones who had gone before.
Diann was born on Sept. 17, 1947 in Calgary, Alberta Canada to George J. Rogers and Helen Shirley Locker Rogers. She loved her birth place for it was home to many happy childhood memories. Her family moved to Utah while she was in her teens. She grew to love the principles that America was founded upon: liberty and freedom. Diann graduated from East High and attended the University of Utah where she made life-long friends.

Diann met her one and only love, Jay Harker and they were married in the SLC Temple June 8, 1970. They made their home in SLC where they raised four children, whom Diann dedicated her life to. Diann loved beautiful things and had an artistic ability that was expressed in her drawings and paintings. She loved tradition, holidays, shopping and decorating her home. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where she served in many different callings. She enjoyed working for the University Hospital billing department. She loved her work and her co-workers.

Diann had a great love for her Savior Jesus Christ and family. Her gift for history served them both. Diann spent countless hours doing genealogy and keeping family history and stories alive for all of us to enjoy! She is going to be missed by all that knew her. We love you Mom and Dad, until we meet again.

She is survived by her children, Stacy (Kory) Brinkerhoff, Scott (Angela) Harker, David (Judith) Harker and Richard Harker; grandchildren Sarah, Gary, James, and Austin Brinkerhoff; sisters Wendy (Kemp) Butterfield, Tara (William) Woodward and brother Mark Rogers.

Preceded in death by her husband; Jay Harker and parents George and Shirley Rogers.
The family wishes to express gratitude to the many caregivers, neighbors and friends that helped the last 6 months.

Diann was a sweet, good friend who faced many health challenges with grace. She loved to hear about former classmates and old high school times. Diann is missed but I'm glad she has no pain now.
