

Hollie Lee Bruerton
1947-2026
Hollie Lee Bruerton, a shining light to all who knew her, passed away peacefully at the age of 78 on June 28,2026. Born on November 22, 1947 in Salt Lake City to Milton France Woolf & Virginia Lee Woolf. Hollie graduated from East High School in 1966 then went on to work at Sorenson Research until the time she met her husband Harry Bruerton whom she later married in 1976.
Hollie was a social butterfly, a sweet, fun-loving, outgoing, caring, generous and kind soul who was known for her hobbies in knitting, crossword puzzles, ceramics & leather works. Hollie enjoyed spending time at the Midvale Senior Center & loved watching sports along with PBS.
Hollie was proud to be the oldest of five siblings which included twin sisters, Christine & Cynthia, who all share the same birthday.
Hollie is survived by Thomas S. Bruerton (son), Cindy Massie-Johnson (daughter), Cynthia McIntyre (sister) and Jim McIntyre (brother-in-law), Clancy Woolf (brother) and Larry Thiesfeld (brother-in-law), James Woolf (brother), many nieces & nephews, grandchildren & great grandchildren.
Hollie was preceded in death by Milton France Woolf, Virginia Lee Woolf, Christine Oliver (sister) & her beloved Min Pin, Chester.
There will be a viewing held at Larkin Sunset Gardens at 1950 E 10600 S in Sandy, Utah, on Thursday, July 9 from 6 pm to 8 pm. Friends may call on the family an hour before service begins. A viewing will be held on July 10, from 10 am to 10:45 am with the celebration of life beginning at 11 am until 12 noon.
